These terms govern your use of the Apex Transcript website and transcription services. By submitting a file or placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
Apex Transcript provides audio and video transcription services combining automated transcription with human review. Turnaround times, pricing, and add-ons are as described on our Services & Pricing page at the time of your order.
All quotes are based on the actual duration of the submitted file and are confirmed before work begins. Prices are listed in USD. Payment is processed via Paystack once a quote is approved. Work begins only after payment is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Turnaround times begin once payment is confirmed and the final audio file is received. One round of revisions is included at no additional cost, provided the requested changes fall within the original scope of the order (for example, correcting a misheard word against the source audio). Requests that go beyond the original scope — such as re-transcribing additional audio or switching verbatim style after delivery — may be quoted separately.
File handling, access, and retention are described in detail on our Security & Confidentiality page, which forms part of these terms. A mutual NDA is available on request before any file is submitted.
Orders may be cancelled before work has started for a full refund. Once transcription work has begun, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and may be prorated based on work completed.
Apex Transcript aims for high accuracy on every file but does not guarantee a specific error rate, as accuracy depends significantly on source audio quality. Apex Transcript's liability for any claim arising from these services is limited to the amount paid for the order in question.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
